In 2014, Taipei Tech registered 108 patents with technology transfer fees totaling USD $2,185,000. Thanks to this excellent performance, Taipei Tech garnered the Outstanding Technological Transfer Center special award from the Ministry of Science and Technology. This deserved recognition further boosts the chances of stationed companies in obtaining the Taiwan Excellence Award for their quality products. In the same year, the Taipei Tech Incubation Center, in which 30 companies are currently stationed, won the Young Entrepreneurs Award from the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs.
In2017, The Office of Industrial and Academic Cooperation (OAIC) in Taipei Tech is devoted to bridge mutually beneficial relationship between Taipei Tech and corporations worldwide. Rapidly advances in technology and knowledge discovery demand corporate to increase research funding in order to stay competitive, the OIAC is committed to creating productive platform for corporate partners to access Taipei Tech’s research capacity. The OIAC continually evolves to meet the interest, needs, and aspirations of Taipei Tech faculty and corporate partners.
